Parent Profile Switching

Dragon's Hoard now supports managing multiple children's accounts from a single device—perfect for parents who need to switch between different children's hoards quickly and easily.

This guide explains how to add multiple parent accounts to one device and switch between them without re-entering passwords.

How It Works

Each time you log in to a parent account, Dragon's Hoard remembers that account on your device. This allows you to:

• Switch between children's accounts instantly without entering usernames or passwords
• Manage multiple hoards from one shared device (like a parent's phone or tablet)
• Stay logged in for 30 days of inactivity on each account

Important: This feature is for parent accounts only. For managing multiple children viewing their hoards on a shared device (like an iPad), see Managing Multiple Kids.

Setting Up Your First Account

Simply log in to Dragon's Hoard with your username and password as usual. Your account will automatically be saved to the device.

After logging in, you'll see a profile menu in the top-right corner of the dashboard showing your name.

Adding Another Child's Account

Once you're logged in to your first child's account, you can add another:

1. Click the profile menu in the top-right corner (it shows your name with a person icon)
2. Select "Add Account..." from the dropdown menu
3. You'll be taken to the login page where you can either:
   • Log in to an existing account for another child
   • Register a new account if you haven't created one yet
4. After successfully logging in, you'll return to the dashboard
5. Both accounts are now saved and available in the profile switcher

Switching Between Accounts

Switching is instant and requires no password:

1. Click the profile menu in the top-right corner
2. Select "Switch to [Child's Name]" from the list
3. The dashboard will reload showing that child's hoard

You can switch as many times as needed throughout the day.

Logging Out

Dragon's Hoard provides smart logout options depending on how many accounts are saved on your device.

Single Account

If only one account is saved:

1. Click the Logout button (door icon) in the top-right header
2. Confirm "Are you sure you want to leave the lair?"
3. You'll be logged out and returned to the login page

Multiple Accounts

If you have multiple accounts saved, you'll see two options:

1. Click the Logout button (door icon) in the top-right header
2. Choose one of the following:
   • OK = Log out the current child's account only (you'll be switched to another saved account)
   • Cancel = You'll be asked if you want to log out all accounts (clears all saved accounts from the device)

This flexibility allows you to remove just one child's account without affecting others, or clear everything at once if needed.

Security & Privacy

Session Duration: Each account remains logged in for 30 days of inactivity. After 30 days without use, you'll need to log in again with your username and password.

Device Security: Anyone with access to your device can switch between saved accounts without a password. Make sure your device itself is protected with a PIN, password, or biometric lock.

Shared Devices: This feature is designed for a parent's personal device. If multiple adults need to manage the same children's hoards from different devices, each adult should log in separately on their own device.

Troubleshooting

Q: I added a second account but it's not showing in the profile menu

A: Try refreshing the page or navigating to another tab and back. If it still doesn't appear, log out completely and log back in to both accounts.

Q: My session expired after 30 days. Do I lose my saved accounts?

A: No. The accounts remain saved on your device—you'll just need to re-enter your password once for each account that expired. After logging in again, they'll be remembered for another 30 days.

Q: Can I remove one account without logging out of all of them?

A: Yes! When you have multiple accounts saved, clicking the Logout button gives you the option to log out just the current account. The device will switch you to another saved account automatically.

Q: Does this work across different devices?

A: No. Saved accounts are specific to each device. If you use Dragon's Hoard on both your phone and tablet, you'll need to log in separately on each device. After the initial login, both devices will remember your accounts independently.
